We are pleased to announce that Úna Bhreathnach, Dublin City University (DCU), will be one of the keynote speakers at the EUROCALL 2026 conference in Belfast!

Dr. Úna Bhreathnach is Editorial Manager of Corpas.ieTéarma.ie, Logainm.ie, Ainm.ie, Dúchas.ie, Canúint.ieGaois.ie and several other terminology and related projects. She is also Principal Investigator (PI) of the Digitisation Project of the Irish Folklore Collection (Dúchas) and of the Irish Dialect Archive Project (Canúint).
She holds a BA in Italian and Philosophy from NUI, Galway, and an MA in European Studies from UCD. Her PhD (A Best-Practice Model for Term Planning, 2011) is on terminology planning and won the International Award for Outstanding Achievement in Theoretical/ Fundamental Research in the Field of Terminology, 2012.

She served as co-editor of TEANGA, Journal of the Association for Applied Linguistics (2017-20) and is vice-president of the European Association for Terminology (EAFT) and co-editor of Terminology Science & Research. She is a member of the Centre for Translation and Textual Studies, the Research Group in Biography and Life-Writing.
